Um, anything that happened this past week, like I said? That is, if you really were out of it the whole time.

[See, that part is even true. ...And wasn't intended to sound more than jokingly accusing.]

I- [She bites back a kneejerk response, realizing at the last moment that Yosuke wasn't serious.]

Would you please stop talking in circles? I simply don't have the patience for this. [And she's a little bit surprised he's pulling this.]

[Oof, guess that didn't work. A little of his forced brightness dissipates again.] Sorry. Truth is, I've been out of it all week. I mean, not passed out or whatever, but seriously out of it. Like a bad dream, y'know? You wouldn't get a good picture of what went down from any of that.

[Still, he's awfully matter of fact about it.]

[Mm. She's quiet for a moment before she responds.] Is it something that you'd care to talk about? [She knows she isn't particularly good at this, but hey, she's trying.]

Either way, I suppose that I can ask Souji-senpai directly... though if I'm to be honest, he and I haven't spoken much recently. [They've both been busy, and she's been trying to get over her frustrations with him to boot. That same old mess she brought up before.]

[That gets him to hesitate in turn. He's not even sure how much of that slight curtness he's imagining - there's a point where the most stalwart faith in your senses has to falter a bit, and it's probably a ways before the point where angry frogs and dead people on aerials start popping out of the ground.]

Hey, we've all had stuff going on lately, you know? Don't read too much into it. He's the same as ever. He'll make time.

[With that, it's back to the fidgeting. If he says nothing, he really wouldn't put it past Naoto to start grilling him for real, so...]

Uhh - I'm not trying to pull a him and get all cagey on you, either. I just don't want any of us to do something we'll regret. Not until we're sure.

You obviously know more than I do about the situation. You've been in Asgard with him longer than I have, so I'll... [She trails off, pressing a hand to the bridge of her nose before she speaks again.] I'm willing to trust your judgement. [She has a feeling she's not going to get anything more out of him, and it's obvious he has his reasons. Still, that last part of what he said sticks in her mind.]
