Right.

[He walks closer to where his friend is standing, gently moving his catnip wand to try and coax the cat to come closer to him so he can carry it downstairs. Come on kitty, the sound of bells wish you'd follow them!]

[The cat turns its head briefly, but doesn't seem to be in a hurry; its top priority at the moment is to bump up against Yosuke's leg again, purring quietly all the while.

It's the last straw. Souji's katana drops back to the floor, the blade falling mere inches away from the tip of the lounging cat's tail.] Put the feather duster down and just take it already!

[izanyagi]

[OH GODS YOSUKE don't make that blade nearly cut the poor cat's tail!]

It'll just try to move away if I do that. You need to be really slow and gentle about it...

[He moves even closer, presenting his hand to it, hoping that the lingering smell of the cat food draws its attention so he can grab it with his hands.]

[windbreak]

[Slow and gentle nothing. The cat still doesn't seem terribly interested in Souji's hand, but a distinct feeling of déj&agrav; vu grabs its attention a second later, along with a literal grabbing sensation at the scruff of its neck.

Without lifting a finger, Yosuke immediately deposits the surprised feline on top of Souji's head.] Dude, I said just get it out of here!

[...Yeah, if he was keen to stay out of scratching range before, he's even more intent on it now.]

[izanyagi]

[Too late, he's got a feline on his head that he doesn't quite know the temperament of. He immediately raises a catnip plant upwards, as he gently takes it from the new perch into his hands. The cat seems to be angry at first, but at least it's not scratching him...although it is looking at Yosuke, silently judging.]

That could have been dangerous.

[Did he really want to win this battle using cat KO? Well, at least it was safe now.]

I'll go put it inside, then we can get back to fighting?

[windbreak]

[He folds his arms, pointedly and huffily ignoring the cat's cold green stare.] If you ever come out again.

[Jealous, him? In any case, he wouldn't bet on those odds.]

[He grins, before taking on a pose from a movie Yosuke might have seen, and the catchphrase to go with it.]
