[Hal is an extremely mature thirteen year old whose first thought is totally not ewww when he catches those thoughts swarming into his head. He breaks contact with Yosuke pretty quick after. He's sneering just slightly when he stumbles back.]

Uh, just getting my walk on? Excuse me for having rusty motor skills after three years in a database. [He says this like it's completely unremarkable.]

[The shoulder-rubbing doesn't seem to be eliciting much sympathy, but Yosuke is used to that, and quietly lets his hand drop as he gives the kid a pained look.] Three years in...? [That's figurative, right? Yeah, it must be. It's also totally not the point.] Well - I don't know, how about taking the shades off indoors so you can see people coming?

Yeah, three years. Give or take a couple months, I ain't a calculator. [Being imprecise is weirdly fun.] Take off my shades? C'mon man, I gotta stay fashionable. No point to having a body otherwise. [He adjusts the glasses on his nose with a snooty, delicate air.]

[Yosuke spreads his hands, gesturing at the floor with heartfelt and utterly pathetic exasperation.] Dude, I was right in front of you! You're lucky nobody in here's tried to just magic those off you yet...

[!!!! Not cool bro. If Hal were a pufferfish, he'd puff out. As is, he just crosses his arms over his chest and tries to stand tall. Which doesn't work so well-- dude is not quite at five feet yet.] Why the fuck would they? Why's your mind gotta go straight there, huh? All I did was run into you. You got some fixation on glasses I should know about? Any support groups I should call? I'm, like, bitchin' at interventions.

[Yosuke, at a towering not quite 5'9", flinches back anyway.] Why're you snapping at me!? They're just glasses - I mean, if anyone's got a fixation...!

Wha - hey, why is it about my fashion sense? [Without thinking, he self-consciously reaches up to adjust his headphones.] I mean, why is it about anyone's fashion sense? Just because you think they're cool doesn't mean they're gonna poke less of someone's eye out!

They're only gonna get all up in somebody's grill if I'm gonna get all up in somebody's... [Hal gets an idea. He grins. The grin could be described as 'shit-eating'.] Dude, I'm flattered, but I'm kinda thirteen, ok?

[windbreak]

[The grin alone would have drained most of the colour out of Yosuke's face; the comment it comes with adds a downright impressive amount to their existing height difference.] Wha - you little creep! Don't even joke about that kinda thing!
